Walking Thoughts

Time for another round of my profound thoughts while walking...

1. I sure hope the Osprey are okay during the fireworks on Saturday night. They nest on the Harrisburg bridge every year, but this is the first time I have considered the fireworks might bother them.

2. Bugs at night and bugs in the morning. Morning bugs are slightly better, though the spider webs are a drag.

3. Mint fields still smell good, but dead animals smell really bad.

4. Thoughts of my grandpa lately - a lot of them

5. Ants - millions (maybe) of them on one particular sidewalk this morning. At least 10 different colonies. Weird.

6. Picking your route carefully is important. Some streets really are too busy to walk on.

7. My upcoming half marathon. Looking forward to it. Some nervousness.

8. Looking forward to the Harrisburg 4th of July. Some new things to take in this year. Always a lot of fun.

9. Today we pack Kiddo #1 up for camp. Hoping the weather won't be too bad over on the coast next week.

10. Should I spend the money to do a walking clinic in Salem this fall....one more time committment...lots to learn....do I have the money to spare....meeting other walkers....pros.....cons....
