June Wrap Up - What's Ahead

June was another successful movement month.

I finished the month on a work trip to Coos Bay. A one night dash to visit with one of my favorite customers and one of my favorite foresters.

I was able to do four miles on the Oregon Coast Trail - Sunset Beach to the Gardens. It's listed as a hike, though you only climb at the very beginning and then its a meandering walk along the cliffs of the coast. Very beautiful, outstanding views.

The next morning I got up early and did another four miles around town. On my way home I stopped at the Whitaker recreation area and climbed up the Old Growth Trail. A nice two mile round trip, but a very good climb all the way up.

I met my goal of averaging at least four miles a day in June and that included at least two days where I did not log any miles. Those were made up with much longer walks on other days.

I am still doing the EA Active 30 day challenege. I really like this workout program and can feel some new muscle development.

June Totals:
Miles Moved - 135.05
4.5 miles averaged per day
Calories Burned - 20163

Totals to date:
Miles Moved - 579.38
Calories Burned - 105479

Percent of new goal - almost 60%
Weight Loss - closing in on 80 pounds.

What's ahead for July -

Kiddo #1 goes to camp
Kiddos going to Walla Walla with Grandma
First official 1/2 marathon
Vacation at Eagle Crest
Kiddo #2's birthday - holy cow - 5 already!
