I am a blog slacker. I have been so focused on walking and exercise and eating right, that I feel it is consuming me at times. Add into that getting kids to and from various things, a crazy time at work, and adding things to my own schedule, this easily - meaning this blog - easily gets put aside.
First - starting on Friday of last week I was able to get in over 22 miles from Friday to Sunday. Not pushing any speed records, just building endurance.
Jessica came home from camp and seems to have had a good time, though I think the girl dyanmics were a little different this year, so not sure it was as good as last year. She did come home with a lot to say about photography and took same really cools pictures while at camp.
She is already off again this week to Walla Wall with my mom, to visit cousins while my brother and SIL are on a anniversary trip to San Francisco. Simon was supposed to go to, but he just hasn't been feeling well this past week with a cold, fever, and goopy eye.
Second - Tuesday night I started a month long course on Chi Walking. Very interesting philosphy on how the body core muscles should support the body during movement. It's just myslef and two other people in the class, and the first session was wonderful. Can't wait for next week and for Sunday where I can use the first techniques we have learned in the Coburg Run in the Country half marathon. Although I will only be walking.
Third - we have made the decision to take the house off the market. Our realtor has done an amazing job for us, but we are just tired of living in a fish bowl and feel right now the best thing for us is to wait out this downturn and hope to sell in a year or so. Not sure what we are going to do about things in storage and whatnot, but right now it's just a relief to have made the difficult decision and to be moving on.
Movement this month has been outstanding. Many miles moved and a stellar daily average. We go on vacation at then end of next week, so I am hoping for some great hikes and walks in central Oregon.
Miles moved in July to date: 91.74
Calories burned: 10252
Daily Average: 5.396
What's up next:
Coburg Run in the Country Half Marathon on Sunday
Crazy meetings for me Monday and Tuesday of next week
Lots of packing to do
Leave for Eagle Crest on Friday for a whole stinkin' week - I've never done that before.!

"although I will only be walking" LOL Sue this made me laugh, only walking 13 miles!!! You have been working so hard on your house hopefully now you can enjoy it a little, and not worry so much about the tiny little things. I had to baby sit for a family whose house was on the market - it was only a week, but man was it hard to keep it showroom perfect all the time, the fingerprints alone are enough to drive you mad!
Wow, you are doing great. Glad that kiddo#1 had a good time at camp. Enjoy your trip.
