Stress

It's stressful around here this week. There are many reasons, but the biggest is about employment. We got a small glimmer of hope last night, but still have several hurdles to get over. More meetings today to discuss our future course of action.

We had a girl scout meeting this week. We have previously taken the girls letterboxing, so this week we taught them how to carve stamps. It seemed to go over really well, though you never can tell with all of them. Next they will make logbooks and finally we will go letterboxing again at the end of the year, where they can find all of their boxes.

Walking and running has been going great. It truly is a stress reliever where I can get lost in the world of music or right now - an audiobook. I am both reading and listening to Memoires of a Geisha. I wasn't to sure what to think at first, but now I am totally engrossed in the story.

The weather turned rainy again, so I'm not sure where the Easter Bunny will be hiding eggs this year. I really hate it when they get hidden through the house, but he may not have any choice. Besides Easter traditions, I have a 10 mile walk planned. It should take about three hours, so I will be getting up and heading out at about 6:00 tomorrow morning. I also would like to get in a letterbox hike, though I've about run out of any good distances in the local area. There is one up in the gorge I would like to tackle, but it will probably have to wait for another weekend.

Totals to date for April - which is going really well!
Miles Moved - 48.66
Calories burned - only 8622 - I haven't been good about wearing the HRM which is always more postive looking than the Garmin.

That's a crazy number of miles compared to previous months. Training for a 1/2 marathon walk and treasure hiking make all the difference.
