New Places in Old Places

Yesterday was another work day in and around Salem, so I was able to spend an hour or so finding a couple of boxes in places that I have driven by many times, never realizing they were what they were.

First, I headed over to Minto-Brown Park and took a walk along the Willamette River, where I grabbed a box by Jess. Unfortunately the insides were soaked. So I replaced the container with a plant I had in my pack, added a new logbook, and brought the old ones home to dry out. I will take them back as soon as they are dry.

Then I headed back into town to go to the Mission Mill Museum. I have driven by this place 100's of time and never knew such cool buildings existed. I found the ellemenopee box by Happy Papaya, and then wandered around these lovely historical buildings.

Finished they day picking up the kiddos from school and coming home and taking a walk. Kiddo #1 has been wanting to check out our local plants to see who has logged in. Kiddo #2 was just happy to ride his bike and to go see the train. I loved that it was another lovely fall afternoon, perfect for enjoying while the time allows!

Q relatively quiet day - but wonderful none the less.
