Six Miles - in Pictures

I was asked the other day where I walked. I decided to document the main six mile route in pictures today. Between rainstorms, in very windy cold weather.

It would be fun to see other pictures of routes people walk. Next time I will capture some of the quirky things around town.

A break in the rain

Out the front door, headed north to the river path.

The river path along the Willamette

Headed north for a short way where this dead ends at the river

Headed back south towards first street

First street, gazebo on the right. Bridge in the distance

Just so you can see how windy it was.

The end of first street. A little path that brings you to 2nd.

Bridge over the Willamette, headed towards Junction City

Pedestrian path on the bridge

View looking back from where I came from

The Osprey nest on the bridge

Headed back to the bridge from the turn around spot about half a mile down.

bridge up close

past the water plant

now a right on second down to the tractor store and grainery

back to hwy 99 and headed to LaSalle and back out of town

headed towards Coburg

head this way to farm country

take a left and go a long ways...

another left here on to the dirt road and headed back into town

turn right and down down apartment row

headed to the high school

the track/football field. where I first started walking

always in lane eight

path over to the elementary school

last mile, headed home

skatepark

fire station

museum

library

back to hwy 99

and this cross walk where cars are required to stop, but rarely do

this is a neat mural depciting local history

back to 2nd street and the last few steps to home

our house

a slow paced walk - too much picture taking

I love this! First of all you are walking in some really beautiful country, but also so cool to have a record of! Tuesday and I walk the same way everytime we go to the park, I'll have to take some pictures of it. I've been meaning to call you to ask what you do for your shoe situation when it is rainy/ wet. Do you have another pai or do you use some kind of rain shoe?
