Who can say no to a good caboose?

Ahhh!! Friday - the end to a long week.

Who knew 3rd grade would be such a big transition to the world of homework and stuff? Kiddo #1 also started Girl Scouts again this week, add to that 2 meetings out of town, it's nice to say the weekend is here. Of course the Beavers are home this weekend, so that means another busy day tomorrow.

But I digress - the weather has been lovely - even if a little cloudy the past couple of days, so when I got back into Albany tonight we did the kid exchange and the kiddos and I headed to Philomath to find a lovely little Caboose. For kiddo #2, who is curently obsessed with trains, this was total enjoyment for him! Maiden 1974 found a lovely place for this lovely stamp.

Then rather than turn around and head home, we opted to go find royalty, in a lovely little community near Corvallis. Murray 7, outdid herself carving this amazing stamp. You do not want to miss Queen Bess, and if you have time and need a pop, stop in at the little market and chat with the owner. He says he is there from 9 to 9, 365 days a year!

On a side note, as we came around the slightly blind corner to the stamp location, there were at least 6 or 7 buzzards enjoying some road kill. Kiddo #1 was disgusted and Kiddo #2 was enthralled by the big "ugly" birds flying around the car. Only briefly did I toy with the idea of not stopping for the box, but hey - not even road kill will stop this determined boxer.

So here's to another week and GO BEAVS!
