Not planned, but worked out beautifully was a trip to Cottage Grove to meet with a co-worker from the past, who now works at one of the Mill's in town. She was able to meet me (bless her for meeting me during the day, since she works the night shift) and give me a tour. Something I have wanted to do for 15 years (since the day I started). It was so cool to see the end product - knowing that I helped produce the the very beginning (sort of).
Then after that - lunch rolled around and off to Cottage Grove Lake to find Glub Glub by Springamajack. A lovely little fish hiding by this lovely lake. And again you can't beat the temps - a lovely 73 degrees! I find this fun box and realize I have left my inkpad at home -so what am I to do?? Ah! Thank goodness my bingo ink dauber from the Lane County fair is still shuffling around in the backpack. It worked in a pinch!. I left behind a hitchhiker - travelin'trailer - I was so happy - thinking I might have finally gotten them all passed along - but no!! I found another lovely little hiker in this box. So I grabbed it and headed back to work.
After lunch - I met with one of my favorite customers and we headed to the woods to take a look at some seedlings. A nice little outing in the woods. I love a day in the field. It's gratifying to see the fruits of ones labors!
Now I am headed back north, and know that I can possibly grab a couple more boxes before I have to be home.
First stop is here: The Blue Goose
I love boxes like this. Such a lovely location. Hidden perfectly. Upon logging in, find that someone found it accidentally and is now maybe a boxer too! The area was gorgeous and the covered birdge was still in use, so while under the tressel, you would here cars rumbling across the bridge. The first one stratled me! PERFECTION!
Next stop - further north off of Hwy 58 - my first Blue Diamond Box - and it so deserves the distinction.
Lowell Covered Birdge - it doesn't get much better than this. The views were simply stunning!
After leaving the Fariy Queen hitchhiker here, it was time to hit the road and go grab the kiddos and head home to, well you know,
